ACCOUNT SETTINGS


About Account Settings

Key account management functions are accessed through Account Settings.

To view your options:

  1. Open the User Menu → found at the bottom of the Navigation panel

  2. Pick a tab:

  1. Click Back to App to return Home to your Dashboards, Forms, and Chats

Overview

The Overview section has two parts:

Account Information

  • Email → Displays the email of the person signed in. (This can be helpful if you are juggling several accounts)
  • Two-Factor Authentication → Shows your 2FA status → Enabled or Disabled
    • Learn more about 2FA in the next section → Two-Factor

Email Preferences

There are two types of emails are scheduled for your account:

  • Product updates and training
  • Marketing emails and general correspondence
  1. Flip the switch to the right → to turn email notifications On
  2. Switch to the left → to turn email notifications Off

Two-Factor

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is a security method that requires two forms of verification to access an account, significantly reducing unauthorized access.

  • Setting up 2FA → Find out how to enable this critical security layer on your account
  • Updating 2FA Settings → Learn to change your existing verification phone number or update your associated devices

Setting up 2FA

Users can set up 2FA when they sign in. (You've probably seen this initial login screen with the invitation to set up 2FA.)

Simply enter your phone number, click Send Verification Code, and follow the onscreen instructions — explained in detail below starting with Step 5.

Set Up or Update 2FA from your Account Settings

Alternatively, you can set up 2FA and make updates from you Account Settings with these steps:

  1. Open your Account Settings

    Access Account s

  2. Pick the Two-Factor tab

    Enable 2fa

  3. Enter your current Password

  4. Press ✓ Verify

    Verify pass

  5. Enter your complete phone number → ex. including Country Code, Area Code and Number

  6. Click Enable Two-Factor Authentication

  7. Collect the 6-digit security code from your messages → ex. 442699

  8. Enter the Code and press Verify

Add Another Phone Number

You may need to add a second phone number to your 2FA list for a variety of reasons.

To add a new number:

  1. Open your Account Settings

    Access Account s

  2. Pick the Two-Factor tab

  3. Enter your current Password

  4. Press ✓ Verify

  5. Enter your new, complete phone number → ex. including Country Code, Area Code and Number

  6. Click Enable Up Two-Factor Authentication

  7. Collect the 6-digit security code from your messages → ex. 442699

  8. Enter the Code and press Verify

Reset Your Password

To reset your password:

  1. Open your Account Settings

    Access Account s

  2. Pick the Security tab

    Pick Sec

  3. Enter your current Password → and press ✓ Verify

  4. Enter the new password → twice!

  5. Click Change Password

Generate Access Code

Older Android phones
  • Some older, low memory Android phones can struggle copying 2FA codes from your messages to an App
  • In short, they close screens to save memory and won't let you pass the 2FA code
  • Here's a fix!

If you are having trouble passing a 2FA code to your phone, try this trick:

  1. Open your Account Settings

  2. Click the Security tab

  3. Click the Generate Access Code button

  4. Make note of the Access Code

  5. Return to the initial Sign In page on your phone → and click Sign in with access code

    • NOTE: Mobile will let you enter the Access code in two places!

  6. Enter your credentials, along with the SwitchBase Web generated Access Code → and then click Sign In with Code

Code didn't take?
  • If the Code doesn't take straight away, perhaps too much time has passed, so try it again:

    • Click Generate New Code in SwitchBase Web
    • Enter the new Access Code into your phone's App

Delete Account

Are you sure you want to do this?
  • This is a bit drastic . . .
  • Chat with your Account Representative first . . .
  • But if you decide to take this step, here it goes . . .
  1. Sign into SwitchBase Web → and click Account Settings

  2. Pick the Delete Account tab

  3. Enter your Password → this will stop intruders!

  4. Select Verify → and we'll make sure its you attempting ultimate dissolution

  5. Click Delete Account → but why now?

    • Think twice. You can always go ← Back to the App

  6. If you are committed, select Delete Account again → and Zap!

Well, not quite yet. You didn't think we would make it that easy, did you? There are two more steps . . .

  1. Type DELETE in all caps

  2. Choose Permanently Delete Account
