Form & Dashboard Templates

New to Dashboards?

Starting with a paired Form + Dashboard Template is a good idea!

Templates create starter Forms and their related Dashboards simultaneously

Note: The Event Template generates an Event Controller Widget

Create a Dashboard from Scratch

Click the Create Dashboard + button
Enter your Dashboard Name → ex. Event Command Center
Click Create

Add Widgets → Snag, Drag & Size

To add any Widget, including this sample Event Controller, to a Dashboard:

Open a Dashboard → click the Ellipsis menu → and pick Edit Dashboard
Click + Add widget
Snag and drag your Widget to the Dashboard → or tap the Quick Drop icon to pop in a Widget → then glide it into position by its 'waffle' handle
Position the Widget by dragging its top-bar handle
Drag the sizing handles in and out to resize the Widget
Configure your Widget as needed.

Click ✓ Save Changes

Configure your Widgets!

To display the correct data, every Widget must be configured to a Form's unique Data

To briefly preview → when configuring a Widget you will:

Name the Widget → ex. Chart Title = Status
Link the Widget to a Form → ex. Form Data = Issue

Select the Field from the Form you wish to display and segment → ex. Issue Status
Click ✓ Save Changes

Duplicate/Copy Widgets

Save time by duplicating an existing Widget.

For example, here we'll copy a Select Filter Widget for the Department Field and create two new Select Filter Widgets for:

Issue Status
Issue Category

1. Press 'Option' (Mac) or 'Alt' (PC) to reveal the Copy icons	2. 'Snag and drag' the first Select Field into position

3. 'Snag and drag' another Select Field into position	4. Finalize by 'Configuring' the copied Widgets

Remove Widgets

To Edit the configuration of a Widget, or to remove it altogether:

Select the Edit icon → make your updates
Click Remove Widget
Confirm the deletion → by tapping Remove
Click ✓ Save Changes

Create Tabs

To add a Tab to an existing Dashboard:

Open a Dashboard → click the Ellipsis menu → and pick Edit Dashboard
Click + Add Tab
Name your tab → ex. Custodial Center → and click Create Tab
Design your Tab as you would any other Dashboard → see Create a Dashboard from Scratch
Click ✓ Save Changes

Shift a Tab's Position

To move a Tab to the left or right:

Open the Dashboard → click the Ellipsis menu → and pick Edit Dashboard
Click the Waffle icon on any Tab → and drag it to the left or right

Rename Tabs

To rename a Tab:

Open the Dashboard → click the Ellipsis menu → and pick Edit Dashboard
Select the Ellipsis on a Tab → and pick Rename Tab
Change the name in the Rename Tab box → and pick Rename

Delete Tabs

To delete a Tab:

Open the Dashboard → click the Ellipsis menu → and pick Edit Dashboard
Select the Ellipsis on a Tab → and pick Delete Tab
Click Delete Tab in the Delete Tab window

Notice the Shared widgets section atop any Tab in your Dashboard.

Widgets lifted into this Shared widgets box will appear on every Tab in the Dashboard. This is a great place for common filters, such as the Event Controller, Status, or common Charts and Graphs.

Filter with Shared Widgets

Shared Tab Widgets work together, so if you filter one Tab, you'll filter every Tab in the Dashboard.

Sharing an Event Controller is a popular option
- In this scenario, if you pick an Event, all the Tabs will synchronize to that Event
You can override this action with the Ignore share widgets bar option

Clear Shared Filters in your Tabs

When you click X Clear Filters on any Tab, they are cleared on every single Tab in the Dashboard.

Hide the Shared Widgets Bar

You can hide the Shared Widgets section on any Tab.

This option is used to save space at the top of the Tab for other Widgets. However, any Filters set on another Tab will still impact the dataset on the Tab. (To see how to block Shared Filters from impacting a Tab, see Ignore share widgets bar.)
