Create Dashboards from Scratch
Form & Dashboard Templates
- New to Dashboards?
- Starting with a paired Form + Dashboard Template is a good idea!
- Templates create starter Forms and their related Dashboards simultaneously
- Note: The Event Template generates an Event Controller Widget
Create a Dashboard from Scratch

Click the Create Dashboard + button

Enter your Dashboard Name → ex. Event Command Center

Click Create
Add Widgets → Snag, Drag & Size
To add any Widget, including this sample Event Controller, to a Dashboard:

Open a Dashboard → click the Ellipsis menu → and pick Edit Dashboard

Click + Add widget

Snag and drag your Widget to the Dashboard → or tap the Quick Drop icon to pop in a Widget → then glide it into position by its 'waffle' handle

Position the Widget by dragging its top-bar handle

Drag the sizing handles in and out to resize the Widget

Configure your Widget as needed.

Click ✓ Save Changes
Every Widget needs Configuration
Configure Widgets!
- To display the correct data, every Widget must be configured to a Form's unique Data
- To learn more, visit our detailed Configure Widgets article for specific instructions
To briefly preview → when configuring a Widget you will:
- Name the Widget → ex. Chart Title = Status
- Link the Widget to a Form → ex. Form Data = Issue

Select the Field from the Form you wish to display and segment → ex. Issue Status

Click ✓ Save Changes
Duplicate/Copy Widgets
Save time by duplicating an existing Widget.
For example, here we'll copy a Select Filter Widget for the Department Field and create two new Select Filter Widgets for:
- Issue Status
- Issue Category
| 1. Press 'Option' (Mac) or 'Alt' (PC) to reveal the Copy icons | 2. 'Snag and drag' the first Select Field into position |

| 3. 'Snag and drag' another Select Field into position | 4. Finalize by 'Configuring' the copied Widgets |
Remove Widgets
To Edit the configuration of a Widget, or to remove it altogether:

Select the Edit icon → make your updates

Click Remove Widget

Confirm the deletion → by tapping Remove

Click ✓ Save Changes
