About Certification
Welcome to the Race → aka. our SwitchBase Certification Challenge!
There are two ways to hit the mark:
- If you are a current Admin or Access Manager in your Home Organization:
- Simply email karl@switchbase.com and indicate that you would like to Certify!
- The Training Team will visit your Organization (with your permission) and run through a 40-point checklist
- Subsequently, we'll forward a few ideas of what can be done to improve your SwitchBase Organization's efficiency
- Certification complete!
- Simply email karl@switchbase.com and indicate that you would like to Certify!

In advance of that:
Please Share all of your Resources with Karl (karl@switchbase.com)
Consult the Share Resources Index in the Help Center if needed
Please elevate Karl to an Access Manager or Data Contributor for your various Resources
And add Karl to any Group Channels and Chats that you set up

Certification Challenge
You are about to 'Race against the clock' to build out a complete Venue and then run one of its Events!
- Want in on a secret? You've completed most of this in Run Lessons 7-12. Shush. Don't tell anyone
You have 4 hours to:
- Identify a Venue of your own that you would like to build out inside of your reimagined Test Track Sandbox
- Add 3 new Events
- Run 1 mock Event
- Staff your venue with the necessary Groups and Users = (Add at least 1 new Group and a few new Users!)
Hints:
- Use the SwitchBase Help Center all you wish. If you can't remember something, use Ask AI for help
- You can also use Claude, ChatGPT, Google Gemini etc., to help identify your venue's elements: its locations, the titles used by the venue and event organizers, and the kinds of Events it's likely to host, etc.
- If you get stuck, ask someone for a hint or two
Build in the following elements:
Forms →

Provide at least 6 new Forms. For example:
- Event
- Issue
- Patrol
- Work Order
- Magic Moments
- Found & Found (Separate or combined)
- Announcement

For any Forms with ‘Locations,’ ‘Issues,' and 'Lost items' drop-down lists → a fully fleshed out Selection list should be available

Build Logic into your Form(s)

Create at least one Shortcut inside one of your Forms

EXTRA CREDIT: Provide an AI-generated Event Summary field in at least 1 Form (Suggested: Event Form) → Hint ✋Summarize an Event with AI

- Create at least 5 Dashboards using at least 9 different Widget types, while building the following Dashboard/Reports:

- Include an Event Controller
- Include Event Markers
- Include Progress Tracker
- Include several types of Chart

Venue Information/Announcement Dashboard →
- Outlining the rules for guest entrance into the venue

Lost and Found →
- Can be broken into two separate Dashboards if desired

Event Summary/Reporting Dashboard →
- With the ability to filter by:
- Department
- Person
- Completion
- Status

Idea: What about creating a Risk-syle reporting Dashboard of your own design?

Events →

Enter at least 3 new Events →
- 1 Current (or Active) Event
- 2 Future Events

One Event should have at least 3 Event Markers (ex. Doors Open, etc.)

Go through and run 1 Event as if it were live →
- Create 3-5 mock Records minimum
- Click through Event Markers and Close the Event in the end
- Update Records (Dispatched, Closed, etc.)
- Create a filtered, summary Report at the end of your Event (See below)
Linked Records, Comments & AI Summary →

- Link at least 2 Records together with Related Fields
- Add Comments to at least 3 Records
- EXTRA CREDIT: Generate at least 1 AI Event Summary regarding your Event

Give everyone access to Chat Conversation Resources and enter a few Chat samples of your own → Hint ✋Chat Channels Help

Invite 3 Users or an entire Group to your Chats. You can use these 3, or others if you wish:

Share your Forms, Dashboards, and Chat Channels with any new Users and/or Groups!
Reports →

Your Event should produce 3 different filtered Reports
- At least one Report should be independent of an Event (ex. Work Order, Security Patrol, etc.)
- Include at least one summary 'risk-type' Report using a Form supporting logic

Email the PDFs to karl@switchbase.com
Extra Credit
If you have Landing Pages set up with the SwitchBase team→
- Use your Public Link and launch a Form from it
- Send the link to karl@switchbase.com
- Create a special Dashboard to capture and display the Public Link Records
When finished . . .
Get Graded
- Email karl@switchbase.com
- Say "Grade this please!"
- Include the name of your organization. Either:
- Test Track or your Home Organization
- Await your results!
