Course Overview

Let's Get Started

Walk 2 jumps into SwitchBase — exploring, customizing, and getting you and your team comfortable with the platform

1. Read About → The SwitchBase Interface

2e. Thunderhawk Events → Explore, Navigate & Filter

  1. If you haven't already → Accept your Pending Invitation to Thunderhawk Events and your Test Track → Steps ▶

  2. Use the Organization Switcher to switch back and forth between any of your Thunderhawk Simulations (Events/Assets/Convention) and your Test Track Organization

  3. In Thunderhawk Events, Pin the following Dashboards:

    • Slide them in the order seen in this image.
    • Then, use Show Less to display just the four pinned Dashboards

  4. Pin three Chat Channels and arrange them in this order:

    • Pin Custodial Chat, Magic Moments, and Lost & Found
    • And then click Show less

  5. Open the Notifications Center

    • Manage your Notifications → Steps ▶
    • Close the Notifications Center

  6. Jump to your Home page and view the options. Then, click open the Event Command Center Dashboard for Thunderhawk Events using one of the options marked below

  7. Clear (x) ALL of the filters in the Event Command Center if needed

  8. Filter in the following way → Steps ▶

    • Set the Date Range filter to display All Data
    • In the Search Description filter, enter the word spill
    • For the Issue Status, pick Closed

  9. Clear (x) all the filters again

    • Find this Closed event way, way back in the Event Controller → Jan 20, 2025, 6:00pm - Thunderskates vs. Atlanta
    • Filter to find out how many incidents were properly Closed that night! (How many are still open?)

  10. Examine the purpose of each unique Dashboards that you've pinned by clicking into each one

  11. Return to the Event Command Center Dashboard for Thunderhawk Events → and (x) Clear all the filters one more time

  12. Scroll down to the Records Table → and click any "Open" Record to launch the Edit Record panel. Update the Record → ex. Change the Status from Open to Dispatched

  13. Close the Record by clicking the X in the top-right corner

  14. Collapse the Navigation panel → Steps ▶

    • Expand the Navigation panel again using one of the Alternatives explained at the bottom of this section → Steps ▶

  15. Open your User Menu, the go to Theme → and pick Dark mode

  16. Switch to Org Mode → and then back to Light Mode

    • Finally, set the Theme to your preferred mode

2a. Thunderhawk Assets → Explore, Navigate & Filter

  1. If you haven't already → Accept your Pending Invitation to Thunderhawk Assets and your Test Track → Steps ▶

  2. Use the Organization Switcher to switch back and forth between any of your Thunderhawk Simulations (Events/Assets/Convention) and your Test Track Organization

  3. In Thunderhawk Assets, Pin the following Dashboards

    • Slide them in the order seen in this image.
    • Then, use Show Less to display just the four pinned Dashboards

  4. Pin three Chat Channels and slide them into this order:

    • Pin Maintenance Team Chat, Asset Team Chat, and Safety Crew Chat
    • And then click Show less

  5. Open the Notifications Center

    • Manage your Notifications → Steps ▶
    • Close the Notifications Center

  6. Jump to your Home page and view the options. Then, click open the Assets & Work Orders Dashboard for Thunderhawk Assets using one of the options marked below

  7. Click the Work Orders tab → then Clear (x) aLL of the filters if necessary

  8. Filter the Work Orders tab in the following way: → Steps ▶

    • Set the Date Range filter to display All Data
    • In Filter Status choose In Progress
    • In Filter Type select Maintenance - Equipment
    • For the Filter Assigned To pick HVAC-Delta

    • Click on a filtered Work Order to display the Edit Record wiew
    • Scroll down and find the related Asset Record attached to the Work Order

Reverse the Process

To find the status of Work Orders related to a specific Asset:

  1. Filter the Assets tab in the following way → Steps ▶

    • In Search Assets field, enter the words Emergency Generator
    • Click on the Expand Edit Record wiew
    • Scroll down to find the related Work Order Record
    • Click the Expand option to reveal the full record

    • Review the full Work Order Record

    • Clear (x) all the filters again

  2. Click into each Dashboard you've pinned to examine the purpose of each

  3. Collapse the Navigation panel → Steps ▶

    • Expand the Navigation panel again using one of the Alternatives explained at the bottom of this section → Steps ▶

  4. Open your User Menu, the go to Theme → and pick Dark mode

  5. Switch back to Org Mode → and then to Light Mode

    • Finally, set the Theme to your preferred mode
