Welcome SwitchBase Admins!

Time to hit your personal Test Track SandBox, where you can explore venue design.

As a Test Track Admin, you'll have every SwitchBase privilege → to define Resources, deliniate Groups, invite Users, create and share Forms, Chats, and Dashboards. This is a place to experiment, build out scenarios, and test use cases before transporting your ideas to your professional Organization.

But first, let's warm up by revisiting Thunderhawk Events to preview the kind of power you'll yield in the lessons ahead.

SwitchBase Web Checklist Part 1

1. Find the Resources in Thunderhawk Events


  1. Start in Thunderhawk Events (not on your personal Test Track) → and click Groups from the Admin menu

    • 1a. How many Groups can you see?
  2. Click on the Training Group

    • 2a. How many Form Resources does the Training Group have access to?
    • 2b. How many Dashboards can the Training Group access?
    • 2c. How many Conversation Resources does the Training Group have assigned to their team?
  3. Click the Share Resources button in the Training Group

    • 3a. Are you listed in this Group?
    • 3b. What is your Permission level?
  4. Click Org Resources from the Admin menu

    • 4a. How many Form Resources does the Thunderhawk Events Organization have in total?
    • 4b. How many Dashboard Resources have been created at Thunderhawk Events?
    • 4c. How many Conversation Resources has the Team at Thunderhawk Events created?
  5. Click Groups from the Admin menu

    • 5a. How many Groups can you see at Thunderhawk Events?

Create your Resources

You’re now ready to build out your Test Track Resources.

We’ll use Templates to instantly create your Issue, Event, and Lost & Found Forms and Dashboards, including an Event Controller with Event Markers.

Then, we’ll head to Lesson 8 for a test Run!

2. Add Resources to your Test Track

  1. Accept and open your Test Track organization → Hint ✋

  1. Click Forms from the Admin menu → and select Create Form

  2. Create 3 new Forms, their Dashboards and an Event Controller as follows:

    • Form 1. Use a Template to create an Issue Form & DashboardSteps ▶

    • Form 2. Use a Template to create an Event Form and its Event Controller Widget to be added to your Dashboards → Steps ▶

    • Form 3. Use a Template to create a Lost & Found Form and the Missing & Found Dashboards → Steps ▶

  3. Click Forms again to see your four new Forms!

  4. Notice three new Dashboards too! → Click each Dashboard from the Navigation panel to get a feel of the Widgets that were generated by the Templates

  5. Click Org Resources from the Admin menu. → How many total resources are displayed? (We'll bet it's 7 or more. Your Test Track is starting to take shape.)
